Jackie Tapia (Young), MSW, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 12 years of experience. Driven by a passion for human rights and social justice, she has worked across diverse disciplines, including refugee case management, child welfare, restorative justice, parenting, mentoring, and clinical supervision. Jackie believes in a personalized approach to therapy, recognizing that each individual's needs are unique. She is dedicated to meeting clients where they are, regardless of their background or current circumstances.
A graduate of Loyola University Chicago with a master's in social work specializing in children and families, Jackie's background primarily focuses on trauma-informed care, reflecting her extensive experience with complex trauma cases. Her areas of expertise also encompass mood disorders, CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, group therapy, narrative therapy, family therapy, strengths-based, and person-centered therapy. Jackie holds certifications in parenting skills/teen-parent relationships, Transition to Independence (TIP), Aggression Replacement Training (ART), and Domestic Violence.
In her free time, Jackie enjoys spending time with her husband, their pets, and friends. She also loves hiking, road trips, and international travel.
